What's New

Recent updates to Catalyst Engine, written for everyone — no jargon.

Note

New settings are always off until you turn them on, and nothing about your organization becomes public without an admin choosing it.

Interview scorecards, careers pages, and Google for Jobs

August 30, 2026

Interviews now end with a structured scorecard, and your open roles can reach candidates searching on Google.

Score every interview the same way

Interviewers now rate a candidate 1–5 on a set of criteria you choose, then record a verdict: Approve, Not a fit, or Another round. Four criteria are switched on to start with, and you can rename, remove, reorder, or add your own in Settings → Interview Rubric. A role that needs different criteria can have its own set. See Interviews.

Require sign-off before an offer goes out

Decide how many interviewers must record an Approve verdict before anyone can create an offer for a candidate. One approval is required by default; set it to zero to turn the requirement off entirely. The offer screen shows the running count, and organization admins can override a blocked offer by giving a reason, which is saved with the offer.

A careers page you can share

Pick a web address in Settings → Organization and Catalyst publishes a page listing your open roles, each linking to its application form. Post the link anywhere you like. No address, no page — nothing is public until you choose it.

Let Google list your open jobs

A second switch lets search engines show your open roles — including in the jobs box at the top of Google results — at no cost. It is off by default, and while it is off, Catalyst asks search engines to skip your pages entirely. Search engines index on their own schedule, so listings can take a few days to appear. See Settings.

Track any credential, export anything, and clearer legal footing

August 29, 2026

Credential tracking stopped being a fixed list, scoring follows the credentials you actually track, and every list can leave as a spreadsheet.

Track any credential, not a fixed list

Add your own credential types — a forklift certificate, a food-handler card, a professional license — alongside the built-in ones. Choose Certification as a question type on your application form and it appears for applicants, on candidate profiles, and in document requests. See Settings.

Candidate scoring follows your credentials

Candidate ranking now looks at the credentials your organization actually tracks, including custom ones, and matches them against what a job posting asks for. The employee watch list counts any missing credential rather than a fixed pair.

Export any list as a spreadsheet

Candidates, employees, interviews, and jobs each have an Export button that downloads exactly what you are looking at, filters included. The Employees page adds a second export built for compliance reviews: one row per person per credential, showing whether it is held and when it expires.

Terms, privacy, and clearer consent

Catalyst now has a published Terms of Service and Privacy Policy written for Canadian privacy law, including Quebec's Law 25. Applicants and new account holders see a short line telling them what they are agreeing to. See Legal & Privacy.
